We also offer an Improved Access Extended Hours Service especially for patients who are unable to attend during our normal surgery opening times. Appointments with a Doctor, Health Care Assistant or Practice Nurse are available on Saturday mornings at Connor Downs by rota. All Saturday appointments must be booked in advance by telephone or in person during our normal opening hours.

If you become pregnant you will be allocated a midwife depending on where you live. Your midwife will provide you with all the information you require. Please ensure you have her contact details and depending on your address she will tell you where to attend for your antenatal checks.
This service will be arranged by the doctors or hospital should you require it. When you are allocated a district nurse please ensure you have their contact numbers. The nurses work in specific teams depending on where you live.
We are pleased to have Emma Clifford, Community Matron, now attached to our team. She is able to provide additional help and support to some of our patients.
Specialist Palliative Care Nurses are attached to the surgery and work closely with the district nursing team.
A health visitor runs a ‘drop in’ session at Praze on the first Wednesday of the month from 1.30pm – 2.30pm. If you wish to speak to the health visitor, contact the surgery for a telephone number.
We have the services of a counsellor who holds clinics at the surgery and who can also provide you with support and guidance over the telephone.
