The Primary Care Trust has contracted with Kernow Urgent Care Services. (formerly KernowDoc) to provide you with urgent medical treatment after the surgery closes during the night, weekends and holidays. If you require this service telephone this number: 0870 242 1242

Appointments
The practice strives to meet the needs of all patients. All consultations are by appointment. We offer a mix of appointments, some bookable two weeks in advance, some available 48 hours and 24 hours in advance and we also have appointments available on the day

Home Visits
Where possible please try to come to the surgery. If you know you are going to need a visit please telephone in the morning. You will be asked to give a short explanation of the problem so that the doctor can be notified and decide how urgent your request is.

Welcome to Praze Surgery

Praze surgery is a rural practice established over 20 years ago by Doctor Lay, at Moorfield in Praze. At that time there were no practice nurses, counsellors or dispensary, and the surgery was held in the Doctor’s front room. Ante-natal and baby clinics were held, and there was also a Health Visitor and three reception staff.

EEFO - For young people and the issues they faceDr. Lay was joined by Drs. McCabe and Gendall, later Dr. Blay preceded Dr. Fairlie.  When Dr. Lay retired, the surgery moved to its present position in School Road, and has gradually expanded to the present staff of three doctors, three nurses, together with an on-site dispensary, the services of a physiotherapist and an administration team of nine.
