Appointments

The practice strives to meet the needs of all patients. All consultations are by appointment. We offer a mix of appointments, some bookable two weeks in advance, some available 48 hours and 24 hours in advance and we also have appointments available on the day.

Any patient who needs to be seen as a matter of urgency will be seen. If you make an appointment and find you no longer need it, please let us know in advance so that we can let another patient have it.

Extended Opening Hours: Evening appointments are only bookable in advance and are intended primarily for those patients who, due to work commitments or travel arrangements are unable to attend clinics during our core opening hours. This service is held on one evening each week on either a Tuesday (at Praze) or a Wednesday or Thursday (at Connor Downs) depending on which GP is on duty for that particular week.

Appointments may be made over the telephone on our appointment number, or at the reception desk.

How to speak to a Doctor

From time to time you may need to obtain information over the telephone. Please telephone our enquiries number between 12 noon and 12.30pm. You may be asked to leave a message and call back later. Sometimes the doctor may call you back.  

Home Visits

Where possible please try to come to the surgery. If you know you are going to need a visit please telephone in the morning. You will be asked to give a short explanation of the problem so that the doctor can be notified and decide how urgent your request is.

The doctor may speak to you over the phone before he/she decides to make a visit.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.
