Out of Hours
The Primary Care Trust has contracted with Kernow Urgent Care Services. (formerly KernowDoc) to provide you with urgent medical treatment after the surgery closes during the night, weekends and holidays. If you require this service telephone this number: 0870 242 1242

Appointments
The practice strives to meet the needs of all patients. All consultations are by appointment. We offer a mix of appointments, some bookable two weeks in advance, some available 48 hours and 24 hours in advance and we also have appointments available on the day

Home Visits
Where possible please try to come to the surgery. If you know you are going to need a visit please telephone in the morning. You will be asked to give a short explanation of the problem so that the doctor can be notified and decide how urgent your request is.

Dr HH Fairlie (m)
MB, CHB
Dr Fairlie spent 3 years as a Doctor in Scotland after qualifying at Glasgow University. Specialised training in A&E and a variety of fields of medicine - ENT, Psychiatry, Obstetrics & Ophthalmology. He has held a variety of hospital and GP posts, including time as a Medical Officer in Port Stanley,Falkland Islands. He came to Cornwall in 1984 and worked in several GP practices in Cornwall becoming a partner at Praze in 1992
Dr J Smith (f)
MB, CHB
Dr Smith qualified in 1991 at Manchester University. She grew up in the area and then moved to Australia where she completed her GP training. After returning to Cornwall she joined the practice in April 2004.

Dr Bensa trained in Dundee and worked in Scotland before coming to Cornwall in 1997, He received specialised training in Care of the Elderly, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology and Acute Medicine before spending 2 years as an anaesthetist working in the Intensive Therapy Unit.

He trained to be a GP in Wadebridge, Cornwall, in 2001, then had a short spell as a Macmillan GP. He joined Praze Surgery in April 2004
