Minor Injury Units are based at Camborne/ Redruth Hospital.

There are x-ray facilities available at Camborne/Redruth Hospital.  To access the x-ray service you will need to be referred by your doctor who will provide you with a signed x-ray appointment card and advise you to telephone the x-ray department to book an appointment for your x-ray.  Appointments can be booked between 9am to 8pm, Monday to Friday; and noon to 6pm Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays. 

The West Cornwall Urgent Care Centre based at West Cornwall Hospital in Penzance offers a Nurse Led Service  cover 24 hours a day, 7 days a week  and treats the following conditions:

1. Minor Burns, scalds and injuries.

2. Simple fractures (legs, arms, ankles and wrists). 3. Cuts which require stitching.

4. Chest and urinary infections.

5. Minor falls.

or in case of an emergency 999.

Home Visits
Where possible please try to come to the surgery. If you know you are going to need a visit please telephone in the morning. You will be asked to give a short explanation of the problem so that the doctor can be notified and decide how urgent your request is.

Simon Graduated in 1992 at University of Bath and joined Praze Surgery August 2019. Previously from Trescobeas Surgery.

Lorna Graduated in 1993 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. Lorna Joined Praze Surgery August 2019, Previously a Community Matron.



Nurse Mandy King (f)

Our practice nurses are vocationally trained and receive regular updates. They see patients by appointment only and are involved in health screening programmes as well as running their own clinics for disease management. They are also available for vaccinations and holiday advice. ECGs and blood pressure checks, cervical screening and pill checks.

Healthcare Assistants

Rachel Williams (f)

Rachel is an experienced Healthcare Assistant and joined the practice in January 2019 having previously worked at Phoenix Surgery.  She has recently been awarded her Level 5 Diploma as an Assistant Practitioner.
